After Dark....
After a day of sightseeing, or perhaps
soaking up the sun and the Cornish atmosphere, there's plenty to
do in the evening...
Eating Out
There
are lots of eating places in and around Falmouth but not many
have developed web sites yet.
Hunky Dory and Bistro de la Mer in Falmouth, and the Sticky Prawn at Flushing have web sites, and also have a look at www.eatoutcornwall.com which shows a selection of local restaurants. Even our local fish and chip ship has joined the information super-highway on www.hlfish.co.uk
We have our own favourites, and can help you chose somewhere nice.
Entertainment
Cornwall's main concert hall and theatre is
the Hall for Cornwall, in Truro, which features many top quality
touring shows and artists, as well as local events. www.hallforcornwall.co.uk
Falmouth's Art Centre features an interesting programme of performances, shows, and art films. www.falmoutharts.org
Falmouth's Princess Pavilion hosts a variety of events, including antique fairs, farmer's markets, dances, and summertime shows. There is a splendid bandstand in the ornate gardens, with band concerts and local choirs. www.princesspavilion.co.uk
Cinemas can be found in Truro (the Plaza, in Lemon Street www.wtwcinemas.co.uk and Redruth (the Regal, in Fore Street www.merlincinemas.co.uk ), and one day there will be a cinema in Falmouth again....
There are several night clubs in Falmouth, "Remedies" is on the Moor, "Club International" is in Arwenack Street, and "Shades" is in Lower Quay Hill.
Live music can be found at several of the pubs in the town.
