Booking Terms & Conditions...
At busy times we fill up quickly. We recommend that you make a reservation as early as you can to avoid disappointment.
RESERVATIONS: Reservations are accepted by telephone, fax, email, or post and will require your name, address and telephone number plus full details of a valid credit card to secure the reservation. Credit card details needed are card number, expiry date, security number and cardholder's name.
OFFICE HOURS: Our office hours are normally 9.30 a.m. to 9.30 p.m., seven days per week, but during these times you may still get an answerphone message if we are both occupied elsewhere in the building, or have to go out. Please note that before 9.30 a.m. we are usually busy serving breakfast, and cannot answer the telephone.
DEPOSIT: A non refundable deposit of £50.00 per person is required for all reservations of two or more nights. We will take this from your credit card when you make your reservation.
CANCELLATION AND ALTERATION: A reservation is a binding contract, and as such you may incur charges if subsequently cancelling or altering the reservation. We reserve the right to make a cancellation charge of up to a maximum of two-thirds of the value of the accommodation originally reserved if the reservation is cancelled within 28 days of the due date of arrival, and we are not able to re-sell the rooms. We recommend the use of holiday cancellation insurance to safeguard against unforeseen circumstances, click onto www.cancellationplan.com
PRICES: Prices are per room per night, with full English breakfast, for stays of two or more nights. A £5.00 per person supplement may be charged for a single night stay. We will endeavour to maintain the above prices for as long as possible, and should circumstances cause us to alter our prices, we will of course honour any confirmed reservation. However, all our prices include Value Added Tax (Sales Tax) at the standard rate of 17½%, and should the rate of V.A.T. alter, we reserve the right to adjust prices accordingly. Our V.A.T. Number is GB 699 3908 59.
SINGLE OCCUPATION: Single occupation of a double or twin bedded room may be available. Prices on request.
PAYMENT: We are pleased to accept payment by most major credit and debit cards, travellers cheques, sterling cheques guaranteed by a bank card, and cash. Visa, MasterCard, and Debit cards are accepted free of charge. American Express cards will incur a 3% surcharge. We do not accept Diners Card. Accounts are payable on departure, and guests are requested to vacate their rooms by 10.00 a.m. on the morning of departure.
SMOKING: Dolvean House is a non-smoking establishment, and we reserve the right to levy an extra cleaning charge should anyone smoke anywhere on our premises.
CAR PARKING: We offer parking in our car-park on the basis of one car space per room. If you require extra space for a further vehicle, boat trailer, or a large vehicle, this can only be by prior arrangement and is subject to availability. Vehicles are parked on our premises at the owners risk.
YOUNGER GUESTS: We are pleased to accommodate young adults over 12 years of age who occupy their own room. We do not have any Family rooms.
ANIMALS: We cannot allow any animals, other than assistance dogs, anywhere on our premises and car park, at any time.

ACCESS: Dolvean House endeavours to provide access and excellence to all it's guests, at all times, whatever their needs. Should there be anything you feel we should be made aware of in order to ensure your comfort and safety, please do not hesitate to inform us.

ON ARRIVAL
Turn left off the A39 Melvill Road and temporarily park at the top of
the driveway
There is a level approach to the front door where there are 4 steps (with
handrail) to enter the building
Ring doorbell for attention, check in and request assistance with luggage if
required.
The car driver should then park vehicle in our private car park.
The car park is down a slope and to the left at the rear of the building.
Spaces are clearly marked and there is dusk to dawn lighting. 1 vehicle
space per room.
INSIDE THE BUILDING
All corridors are illuminated 24
hours a day.
All areas are carpeted except most bathrooms
A pay phone is located on the ground floor. In case of emergency, a
free call to the owners can be made from this telephone.
Some mobile phones receive a poor signal due to the granite walls
Access from the main ground floor hallway leads to the lounge, dining room,
reception, honesty bar, video/dvd library, public toilet, 1 single bedroom
and 1 twin bedroom.
There are stairs to the remaining bedrooms, and there is no lift.
The layout of the building is unsuitable for wheelchairs.
Assistance dogs are allowed

Teletext is available in all bedrooms on remote control colour televisions
BATHROOMS
All bedrooms have en suite
bathrooms.
Every bathroom is different, some having baths with hair spray taps
and some with showers
Killigrew on the ground floor has a bath with a secure grab rail.
Non-slip rubber mats are available
Most en suites bathrooms now have non-slip tiled floors. A program of
refurbishment is on going to complete this work.
GARDEN
There is an Italian garden at the
rear of the building which guests are welcome to enjoy. The surface is
mainly loose gravel.
