5th March, Thursday: St. Pirans Day
Piran is the patron saint of Cornwall and various celebrations take place all over the county.  Annual pilgrimage from Perran Sands Holiday park to St. Piran's Oratory, play starts at 2pm.

27th + 28th March, weekend: Falmouth Spring Flower show
The Cetenery Year (1910-2010). extra special show with usual classes, display of spring flowers, tender and exotic rare plants, bonsais, orchids and photographic competition. Experts on hand to answer your questions, specialist plants for sale. 10am - 4pm Adults £3 on door, under 16s free

6th - 11th April, week: Art in the city Festival, Truro
Make art accessible to all: explore new art ideas and ventures in the heart of Cornwall's capital.
10th + 11th April, weekend Spring Flower Show, Boconnoc in Lostwithiel
An annual event which showcases the best of Cornwall's plants and flowers. There will be horticultural stands, botanical displays, competitive classes and a Cornish food marquee. 10am - 4pm.

Traditional Cornish May Day Celebrations.
1st - 3rd May, weekend: 
Horse and Carriage Weekend at Trelissick Gardens
How carriages work and horses are harnessed. Carriage ride through Trelissick Park with stunning views of the River Fal. 10.30am - 5.30pm, Carriages ride from 12-3pm £3 per adult and £2 per child for the carriage ride
2nd + 3rd May, Sunday-Monday: Spring Food Fair at Godolphin

13th to 22nd May: Daphne du Maurier Festival
This is the annual festival held in Fowey that celebrates the author's life and works. There will be talks, plays and guided walks.
28th - 31st May, Bank Holiday weekend: Run to the Sun Festival
This is the annual Custom Car and VW festival that is held in Newquay over three days..
28th May - 6th June: Falmouth River Festival
If you're interested in the environment, the arts or activities on the water, there's something in the festival for you.
30th, Sunday : Open Days at Gribbin Daymark in Fowey
This is a chance for the public to allow them to experience the fantastic views from the top of this 84ft tower near the Fowey Estuary. Selected dates from 27th June to 12th September 2010. 11am - 5pm. 50p per person.

10th - 12th June: Royal Cornwall Show
This is a three day event that showcases the best that Cornwall has to offer in farming, food, livestock and much more. Held at the Royal Cornwall Show Ground in Wadebridge. 
17th - 19th June, weekend: Falmouth Shout, Falmouth International Sea Shanty Festival
On the Quays and in the pubs along Falmouth's waterfront hear the songs of a bygone age when sailing clippers ruled the waves. Most venues are free.
19th to 27th June: Polperro Festival and Lights
This is the annual celebration in Polperro which includes dances, art and music.
26th June, Saturday: Garden Action at Trerice at Trerice

27th June, Sunday: Storm in a teacup at Trelissick Gardens
20 years after the storm which cleared whole woodlands from the garden. Trelissick are celebrating the views caused by the storm damage. 2 - 4pm

Fish festival: live music events, processions, dancing, choral events, fishing boat race, raft craft, mini triathlon, fete, carnival, spectacular firework display.
Late June: Golowan Festival and Mazey Day
This is the annual celebration in Penzance of Golowan which is Cornish for midsummer or the Feast of St. John. It is one of Cornwall's largest art festivals which includes street theatre and story telling. The week culminates in Mazey day which is Cornish for dazed and confused!

July

A carnival celebration with music, quizzes and other activities.
5th August, Thursday: Glendurgan garden
Seasonal Garden Walks at Glendurgan at 2 pm. Normal admission charges apply.
7th to 14th Aug: Falmouth Week
Sailing Regatta and many entertaining events in the town.
This week also includes the prestigious Pendennis Cup which returns as a superyacht racing.
15th to 21st Aug: Fowey Regatta
An annual celebration of all things maritime with sailing, races and other activities like fireworks, carnival and live music. Red Arrow display on Thursday.
20th to 30th Aug, week: West of England Steam Rally
Stithians, Largest steam rally in the South West with over 50 full size steam engines plus stationary and scale steam engines, old time fairground, a large selection of vintage vehicles andmoror cycles, stationary engines, heavy horses and more
27th to 30th Aug, weekend: Wadebridge Folk festival
Lots of live music and entertainment
30th Aug, Monday: Newlyn Fish Festival
This is a celebration of Cornwall's fishing industry in the surroundings of Newlyn Harbour. There will be cookery demonstrations, a wide selection of seafood and fish auctions as well as music, entertainment and activities on the water.

September

7th Sept, Thursday: Glendurgan garden

mid September: Truro Carnival
Carnival parade or just enjoy the atmosphere.
11th to 25th Sept, fortnight: St. Ives Festival
A weeklong celebration of the art world. There will be music, exhibitions, poetry and talks.
24th to 26th Sept, weekend: Cornwall Food and Drink Festival
This year will be the sixth annual festival showcasing the best food and drink that Cornwall has to offer. Held in Truro on Lemon Quay.
25th Sept, Saturday: Open day at Glendurgan garden
Normal admission fees got to charity within national Gardens Scheme, 10.30am - 5.30pm

October

7th Oct, Thursday: Glendurgan garden

14th - 17th Oct, week: Falmouth Oyster Festival
Celebrate the opening of the Oyster season. Three days of cooking demonstrations, events and trade stalls, lots to entertain. DiscoveryQuay.

November

5th to 7th Nov: Cornwall Film Festival
A three day event which celebrates the best of Cornish and International film making. 
17th Nov, Wednesday: City of Lights Parade in Truro
This is an annual procession through the town which also incorporates the Christmas lights being switched on. It also marks the start of late night shopping and there is a firework display on Lemon Quay.
