Stithians Show, 17th July, Monday 2017
Held on the large showground between Truro and Helston where thousands descend to enjoy musical entertainment, food courts, craft stalls, a fairground, and animals of all sorts including rare breeds, a dog show and dog agility competitions. 2014 dates are subject to confirmation.

with loads of sports, activities, health and wellbeing initiatives, all inviting you to take part.

August 2017

Falmouth Week Fri. 4th – Sun. 13th August 2017
Venue: On the water and various locations around the town. Six days of match racing for keelboats, traditional craft and dinghies in the waters off Falmouth Bay, the Carrick Roads and the harbour. Wednesday is Champagne Day, a race for the big yachts with a 25-mile coastal course finishing in the inner harbour, whilst smaller boats race in the Carrick Roads. On the shore there are activities to keep everyone entertained from the fantastic Red Arrows display (TBC) and themed party nights to samba and the Action Sports Tour Bike Show. In Events Square there are daytime events such as Science in The Square by the University of Exeter, while in the evening you’ll find a great line up of music acts. Cornish Steam and Country Fair, 18th – 20th  August, weekend 2017
Stithians, Largest steam rally in the South West with over 50 full size steam engines plus stationary and scale steam engines, old time fairground, a large selection of vintage vehicles andmoror cycles, stationary engines, heavy horses and more.


World Bellyboard Championships
Chapel Porth near St Agnes. Simple rules: no wetsuits, no linen and no flippers. Simply a surfboard and your swimming trunks is all you need, entry free. Donations welcome.

Cornwall Food and Drink Festival,22th – 24th  September  2017
The annual festival is showcasing the best food and drink that Cornwall has to offer. Held in Truro on Lemon Quay.


Falmouth Oyster Festival Thur. 12th – Sun 15th October 2017
Venue: Events Square and The Moor
The highlight of Falmouth’s Autumn calendar is this nationally recognised, award-winning annual festival which celebrates the start of the oyster dredging season. Including an oyster bar, a wide variety of seafood, wines and champagne, real ales and stouts, arts, crafts, food and drink halls, chef demos and all that is best in Cornish musical entertainment.

Falmouth Beer Festival,   Thurs 19th– Sat 22nd Oct 2017
Princess Pavilion: Try a hose of real cask ales and ciders at this year’s CAMRA event. Around 200 ales, ciders and perries to choose from.

Falmouth-Run, Sunday 12th March
The Run Falmouth Half Marathon is run by and raises funds for Cornwall
Hospice Care. The Run Falmouth Half Marathon Route is both hilly and
scenic, starting and finishing at The Falmouth Hotel, near Pendennis Castle.

As part of the Spring Festival, the community gets together, rolls up its sleeves and gives Falmouth a bit of a makeover! Numerous sites will be tackled, from beaches to squares.


Folk- and Cyder Fayre, Fri. 14th – Mon. 17th April 2017
Events Square will be hosting the 2nd Folk & Cider Fayre where you can come to sit, relax, listen to folk music, sample 30 local ciders together with hog roasts and barbecues and browse the Arts and Crafts & Cornish Produce Pavilion.

Falmouth Street Food & Craft Ales Festival Fri. 26th – Mon 29th May
Venue: Events Square You can look forward to live performances from Friday at 7.30pm through to Monday from local talented musicians. There will also be an arts, crafts and local produce market welcoming you in from Saturday to Monday 10am – 5pm. Fal River Festival Fri. 26th May – Sun. 4th June 2017
This fantastic 10 day festival is a not-for-profit community festival which encompasses over 150 events varying from music & drama, the arts & heritage to gig racing, swimming, walking & lots more. The festival was established in 2006 and will be running for its 12th year in 2017. It’s a chance to embrace the places, people, history, culture, sport & industry that are connected by this very Cornish river. www.falriver.co.uk


Royal Cornwall Show, 8th, 9th, 10th June  2017
This is a three day event that showcases the best that Cornwall has to offer in farming, food, livestock and much more. Royal Cornwall Show Ground, Wadebridge.
Castle to Castle Swim  TBC
The Castle to Castle Swim is a one mile open water sea swim across the mouth of the River Fal. The swim starts at Pendennis Castle in Falmouth and finishes at St Mawes Castle on the Roseland Peninsula. Details will be updated on our events page:

Falmouth International Sea Shanty Festival Fri. 16th – Sun. 18th June 2017
Venue: The Town
The largest free maritime music festival on the planet! Shanty bands and singers from across the UK and Europe converge on Falmouth, bringing a wonderfully diverse range of shanties performed on stages throughout the town. In addition to bands performing each day and evening, the Opening and Closing Ceremonies are held on Events Square. The festival raises funds for the RNLI.

Falmouth Classics Fri 16th – Sun 18th June 2017
Venue: Offshore
Building on the success of expanding to a three-day event, Falmouth Classics have now been able to bring the competitors together in one area in close proximity to the Sea Shanty Festival. Thanks to National Ventilation and Airtech Environmental Systems together with Falmouth Harbour Commissioners, berthing will be free for visiting competitors, putting Falmouth in the top league alongside other major classic regattas.
