Things To Do
Walking & Cycling
One of the most popular activities to do is a good walk along part of our coastline. The South West Coast Path runs virtually almost along the front of our house. Falmouth is a great starting point for your shorter or longer excursions on the longest coastal path in Britain. Whether you rely on your feet, car or public transport, you have easy access to some of the nicest stretches of the 630 m long famous path.
Dolvean House is member of the Visit Britain Welcome Walkers and Welcome cyclist scheme as well as of the South West Coast Path Association (SWCP). We cater for the special needs of walkers and cyclists, e.g. boot trays, lockable Garage for bikes, repair kits, drying room, lunch packages, maps and literature and local knowledge. We can also arrange for luggage drop-off or pick-up in prior arrangement.
For cycling fans there are some famous and easy to ride ways close by, e.g. the old tin mining train track between the North and South Coast along Bissoe.
With Renate being tour guide there is a constant exchange of knowledge and sharing memories of the best walks.
